With everything going on in the world today, it's a constant battle to stay informed, green and responsible. Corporate corruption in America continues to grow and in the end, the people, the consumers suffer from it. But most Americans do not actually know all that is going on. People can be very trusting and enchanted by "slogans" or the "we cares" of the greedy corporate world. When in truth, these companies horribly exploit humans, animals and the earth.
Every dollar we as American consumers spend, it like a vote in a ballot box! It is quite simple. Take the time to learn about the company you are spending your hard earned dollar on.
Many corporate companies exploit humans terribly by paying a very unfair wage, physically abusing them, verbally abusing them. Some are exploited so badly they commit suicide. It's out of control, unfair and insane.
Now you must ask yourself. Would you work for this kind of wage? Maybe if you were starving and had no other choice, however, that is exploitation. Would you want to be physically or verbally abused? I am sure you would not. So therefore, why support companies that do so. Not to mention the irresponsible toll they take on the earth and environment.
Palm oil. Used in just about everything today. Processed food products, cosmetics, personal care products and hair care products. But most companies do not harvest Palm Oil responsibly. In doing so they create horrible deforestation, human exploitation and sadly, it has now put the Orangutans on the severely endangered list. Selfish greed is killing off a species. Again, how do you want to cast your vote?
Palm Oil and Coffee products are the most exploited being very NON fair trade. Look for the Fair Trade symbol when purchasing food, coffee or hair care and cosmetic products. In the theory of treating others as we like to be treated, it is essential that we start to make these changes. And as consumers, we have the power to do so.
The Palm Oil in Shear Miracle products is Fair Trade.
As consumers and compassionate human beings, every little step we take to make small changes, add up to BIG differences in the world and how we all live and co-habitate. Remember....FAIR IS FAIR!
